27/11/2008 – L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX, leading global manufacturer of materials for thermal and acoustical insulation, has received an Award of "Top Investor in China" at the China Awards 2008 oraganized by the Italy-China Foundation.

Was awarded by an authoritative jury chaired by Cesare Romiti, President of Italy-China Foundation, and Paolo Panerai Vice-President and Chief Executive Officer of Class Editori.

The committee has rewarded the major project of the L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX in China and interest shown for this market where the company is present since 1998, when was inaugurated the first production facility in Guangzhou (south of China). L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX is completing the realization of the fourth production plant in Suzhou (Shanghai) that will have a production area of about 32,000 square meters and will be operational by December 2008. In this project, worth 15 million euros of investment, also took part the SIMEST Spa (financial development and promotion of Italian enterprises abroad) controlled at 76% by the Italian government.

The award ceremony took place during a charity dinner held at Principe di Savoia Hotel in Milan and was an opportunity to raise funds in support of the non-profit organization Lifeline Express.

We are, in fact, producing a high volume material that renders a non-competitive transport and therefore is necessary a local production.

Moreover, thanks to our investment - not only in the productive but also in romoting technology - the Chinese elastomeric insulation products market in the next 5 years will be the largest in the world," - has commented Carlo Spinelli, CEO of L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX.
